Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive
This collaboration is part of an ongoing effort to ensure no individual goes without a warm coat during the cold winter months. Each year the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive relies on the generosity and compassion of our customers across the country. In partnership with ABC's Good Morning America and the national non-profit organization, Delivering Good, Burlington collects gently-worn coats in all its store locations across the country and works with local agencies through Delivering Good, to distribute the coats to those most in need within the community. Having completed its 10th year, the coat drive has collected well over 1.8 million coats! Thanks to all those that continue to donate and help spread the gift of warmth.
Burlington Toy Drive
While Burlington locations stateside are collecting warm coats during the holiday season, its store locations in Puerto Rico are collecting new Toys to benefit Fundacion Infantil Ronald McDonald, a non-profit organization which creates, finds and supports programs which directly improve the health and well-being of children living in Puerto Rico and their families during difficult times. Now in its 6th year of partnership with WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, Burlington’s Women’s Heart Health campaign helps to increase awareness among its customers about the importance of their heart health, as heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. Throughout February and March each year, Burlington hosts a national Point-of-Sale campaign in all its store locations nationwide and as a result, has raised more than $6 million to further education and support for women living with heart disease. Additionally, the campaign has provided funds towards the establishment of WomenHeart’s Hispanic initiative, Para La Mujer Hispana, dedicated to educating women of Hispanic descent about the risks of heart disease. To kick off the 2017 campaign to #KnockOutHeartDisease, we partnered with Grammy Award-winning artist and heart health advocate Kelly Rowland, who lost her mother to heart disease and is deeply affected by the cause. During the 2017 back-to-school season, Burlington partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org, which provides funding to teachers so that they can purchase classroom materials they need for students to learn and succeed.
